The Cambridge Zoning Ordinance aims to promote the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the city, giving authority to the City of Cambridge to control planning and zoning within its corporate limits.
Developed in accordance with Chapter 19, Article 9 and Chapter 17, Article 10, of the Revised Statutes of the State of Nebraska and with the
Comprehensive Development Plan of the City of Cambridge, the goals of this ordinance including avoiding congestion in streets; securing residents safety from fire, panic and other dangers; providing adequate light; preventing overcrowding or overconcentration of the population; and facilitation adequate transportation, water, sewer, schools, parks and other public amenities.
